The new Festo Electric Linear Drive, ELGD  is an advanced ball screw or belt driven guided axis  designed to provide precise and efficient linear motion in industrial applications. It can be configured for single or dual rail guidance depending on the application and can be supplied with a complete servo or stepper motor package or with adapters for all major third party motors.

Designed to cater for high-speed, high precision positioning applications, the ELGD provides smooth, accurate movements and sideloading isn’t a problem thanks s to the recirculating ball bearing guidance system.

The ELGD is known for its versatility, as it can easily be integrated into an existing automation system or can be configure as a  2 or 3D gantry solution  and supplied in component form  for or fully assembled.
