The inaugural APPEX Women in Processing & Packaging event will make its debut on 13 March at the MCEC, Melbourne.
Developed in partnership with PKN and Food & Drink Business, and owned & presented by APPMA, the event will be an opportunity for all individuals across the industry to connect and be inspired by some of the wonderful female leaders in packaging & processing.
Keynote speaker Louise Weine, CEO of NAWO (National Association of Women in Operations), will present on 'Achieving gender balance in Packaging and Processing: Systemic Change that Works'. Weine will reveal the levers organisations need to pull to better attract, retain and promote female talent. She’ll examine inclusive leadership, what it is and why it matters, and take a closer look at the value of mentoring and sponsorship, explaining the need for parallel focus. Following on from this there will be an in-depth panel discussion with four key female leaders.

The APPEX Women in Processing & Packaging Panel discussion will be led by four accomplished women from different areas of processing and packaging, sharing their personal stories, career journeys, and insights on the future of women in STEM, including:
